Mayil Spices - Saint Pierre

25 years ago, the products of Mayil were born in the Mootien family. Amaye, the grandmother dedicated all her time, preparing spices for the people living in the vicinity. However the brand was commercialised on the Mauritian market in 1987. Having as theme « li mem pli bon » (It is the best), Mayil has found its place in all Mauritian households and hopes to attract the people of Europe as well as people from all over the world.
About 18 varieties of spices are imported from Asia, Madagascar, Bulgaria, Canada and Guatemala, before being processed, ground, and packed on Mayil's premises. Producing only 25 kilograms of curry powder, at the beginning, Mayil now produces tons of a whole variety of products. These spices are then ground and processed into a variety of mixtures.
