What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is designed to guide and motivate people so as to help them with any area of their life in which they are facing obstacles that seem insurmountable. It is meant not only for those who want to achieve major goals but also for those who just want to BE WELL and be in line with themselves. The coaching process deepens the clients’ self-awareness and empowers them to find their own solutions, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling, happy and purposeful life.
What is the role of a life Coach?
A Life Coach is here to identify areas in your life where you may be trapped and where your actions are not producing any results. Thereafter, the Life Coach’s role will be to support you to create positive changes in your life by helping you to discover yourself, uncovering what’s holding you back, challenging your thoughts, and finally empowering you to be your own guide.
What is the difference between Life Coaching and psychotherapy?
The methods used can at times be similar but the way of working remains totally different. Life Coaching deals with functional individuals who are mentally healthy and is not designed to treat mental or psychological disorders, as compared to psychotherapy.
Furthermore, psychological therapy follows a specific structure, whereas Life Coaching is flexible and adaptable to the client and his/her specific situation. Life coaching uses some therapy principles to understand your present thought and behaviours, without lingering on the past but targeting future objectives.
Compared to psychotherapy, which is a long-term process that may last for years, Life Coaching helps to achieve results faster.
Who can benefit from Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is meant to support anyone going through transitions and development phases, which ALL people pass through while growing across their life, which often trigger crisis states, bringing up stress, anxiety and uncertainty.
