Coolen Chez Ram Restaurant - Grand Baie

It’s one of the oldest Restaurants in the North. It was opend in 1985 and was at first a typical Bar where lots of Mauritian People and Tourists went to. Then they started to come for little Snaks and small Appetizer. So they decided to offer their clients a possibility to have dinner.
By 1994 it dedicated itself to serve mainly food. The Specialities are the seafood like Lobster with Garlic Sauce, Big Prawns, Red Snapper in a banana leaf, Fish Curry, Tuna Steak with lemon sauce, Octopus Salad – but these are only a few examples. All typical Mauritian Dishes.
You also can get meat dishes with Lamp or Asian food. And especially for the children there is the Mini Club with special dishes for them.
Coolen is a very familiar place and children are always welcome

And don’t be frightened because there is no pricetable outside the Restaurant, the prices are the best compared to other seafood Restaurants!
