S.D.R Construction Ltd has carried out building and civil engineering works since 1994.  Initially known as SDR Ltd, the firm was incorporated as a private company under the laws of the Republic of Mauritius on 27 October 1994. The company has changed its name to S.D.R Construction Ltd since 18 August 2011 and it is now the company policy to operate and market future contracts under this name.
 
The company is registered with the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Land Transport and Shipping as a Grade B Contractor. It has adequate financial and technical resources and experience to undertake construction of building and civil engineering works up to MUR 100 million at any one time. Our main office is situated at 14, Sir Virgil Naz Avenue, Belle Rose.

Managing Director is Mr. Shahil Ramchurn who is a Civil Engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineers & Technicians of London. He has over 25 years experience in the execution of various building and civil engineering projects. Some of the prestigious projects executed by Mr. Shahil Ramchurn are the Conservatoire de Musique, Francois Mitterand at Quatre Bornes ( inaugurated by the French President himself ), La Bonne Marmite Restaurant in Port Louis, the Mauritius Examination Syndicate Building in Reduit, the British Council Building in Rose Hill, New Wards to Dr. Jeetoo Hospital in Port Louis, the Baie du Tombeau Sewerage Network, Major CWA Trunk / Main Pipelines, 8 major National Housing Development Company (NHDC) housing projects and most recently, the Laguna Beach Resort & Spa, an 80 rooms & 4 Star Hotel at Grand River South East.
