Company description
The Regional Training Centre (RTC) was founded in 1980 as the Regional Sugar Cane Training Centre for Africa (RSTCA). This United Nations Development Program (UNDP) project ran for 16 years and enabled Mauritius to become an international hub for capacity development for the sugar industry and to date over 1100 students from 45 different countries have studied technical sugar courses at RTC.

We are much more than just a traditional training centre …

Built upon the strong backbone of the UNDP project the RTC has now evolved into a self-financed centre for sustainable development. It acts as a centre of excellence, not only for the local and international sugarcane industries as it did originally, but also for industry in general and has over 30 years of experience in training and development.
