How to play loto?

To play the Loto, check 6 numbers on a grid of 40 numbers using a black pen or pencil. A Loto game report includes 5 grids or 10 grids. The stake is only Rs 20 per combination.

You can also play your numbers for several draws by checking the desired number of draws to the right of the bulletin (Multiple Draws).

You can also play the Quick Pick option. This is the machine that randomly chooses 6 numbers for you. Give your bulletin to an official National Lottery retailer as well as your payment. He will validate your bulletin and give you an official ticket.

The Multiple Games option is a quick and easy way to play multiple combinations. How is the loto draw done?

The Loto draw is organized every Saturday evening. 40 balls are introduced into a drawing machine which selects six balls whose numbers constitute the winning draw of the day. The drawing procedures are carried out in strict accordance with established laws and by respecting established security standards in order to ensure the integrity of our system and processes. A draw team including internal representatives, a Games Police officer and members of the GamblingRegulatoryAuthority are present during each draw.

The procedures governing the draws are documented in writing and approved by the GRA, whose representative must certify that each stage of the draw is undertaken in accordance with the written procedures.

How to claim a prize?

You must first affix your name and signature on the back of your winning ticket. Take it to a National Lottery retailer for all prices of Rs 2,000 or less. Prizes over Rs 2,000 must be claimed at the headquarters of the National Lottery or an authorized agent. You must bring your national identity card or passport. Retailers paying more than Rs 10,000. Do I have to pay tax on Lottery winnings?

Lotto winnings are not taxable in Mauritius.

What happens to unclaimed prizes?

All unclaimed prizes are kept by Lottotech and paid to the National SolidarityFund (NSF) under the aegis of the State after the expiration of the validity period of the tickets concerned.
