IBL Biotechnology (MAURITIUS) was established as a joint-venture company with the IBL Group in 2011. Initially, the company focused on the development of industrial processes for the extraction and recovery of proteins, peptides, amino acids and lipids from marine resources, fish co-products and by-catches.

In 2013, its activities expanded to process design and control for industries outside the marine sector. Automation is a key component in most process facilities.
