The company was previously known as Asian Paints (Mauritius) Ltd and was owned by Asian Paints India Ltd up to 2005 when it was taken over by a group of local shareholders and there forth incorporated under the name of Arkolac Ltd. In the year 2009, following a change in shareholders, Arkolac Ltd was propelled towards new dimensions as a subsidiary of the Kalis Group.
