Was taken here by a taxi driver and should have known better....

Mobbed by lots of very nice staff and bamboozled, thought we were paying about $150aud and payed nearly 1500aud made our holiday extremely disappointing.
As others have said avoid these shops, beware of taxi drivers that will take you somewhere 'cheap'.

We persisted on a refund and camped at there front door for a day informing anyone who came what they were in for before they folded and refunded, absolutely a nightmare.

It was a terrible experience. I was in hurry, actually wanted to buy just one t shirt. I was annoyed by 5 Shop assistants who finally let me pay 6800 Rupies for 3 shirts. I was so confused by them that I could not control the situation anymore. Beware of Taxi drivers who take you there.

Attention aux touristes qui souhaiteraient se rendre à Arsenal. Ce sont des personnes très très malhonnêtes ils nous ont volés 750€ en essayant de nous faire culpabiliser. Ils sont très fort ils nous ont gâché notre dernier jour de notre voyage de noces.

For my first time in Mauritius I have to say this is by far my worst experience with retailers. These shops work with the Taxi drivers from the hotel, by luring you into these so called factory shops. They give you the impression that the shops are discounted at 50%, but you actually pay twice the amount that you would pay at the original retailer.

E.g A original Fred Perry T-Shirt costs £45 but with them you end up paying £90.

They use conversions that don’t exist.
When paying the have several ladies surrounding to confuse you with wrong conversions and you end up paying with caution.

I tried going back for a refund but they refused to refund me. I’m busy trying open a case against them with the assistance of the hotel

après avoir choisi des vêtements, à notre insu, les prix ont été multiplié par dix sur le document facture pour la douane, et le prix masqué sur le terminal de paiement : résultat ******** roupies de préjudice ! un processus bien huilé par les employés qui savent détourner votre attention avec la complicité des responsables; le ticket de caisse est agrafé à la facture et enfermé dans une enveloppe collée remise avec les vêtements. Malheureusement, c'est à l'hotel que le constat est fait et malgré la réclamation la société refuse l'annulation du ticket : conseil éviter Arsenal et acheter dans la capitale ou à l'intérieur de l'hotel et même avoir le réflexe de vérifier les prix proposés sur internet.

Nous sommes allés sur les bons conseils de notre taxi au magasin kne ravinale de Arsenal, et nous nous sommes fait avoir comme des bleus... Tout est présenté à 50% avec une perspective de détaxe de 15% à l'aéroport. Ils vous embrouillent à la caisse en parlant dans tous les sens. Bref vous sortez avec une ardoise énorme lorsque vous convertissez et en plus ils vous mentent sur le montant converti. En un mot, 2 robes polo et un beau sweet homme +1 polo cadeau homme et 2 polos cadeaux femme : 373 €. Je suis furieuse. Nous arrivons juste à l'hôtel, mais c'est trop tard...
Soyez vigilent.

The shops prices are skyhigh, and they use arguments for purchase like 15% return at the airport (VAT) which is not true since they do not provide you with the right receipt for the authority to approve...

Be aware of this shop,they ask you 15/20 times the goods worthness and after bargain you will pay 4/5 times the value.Do not stop there.
