Job vacancy Sales Account Manager

Our client is a Global giant within the manufacturing industry of Diesel machinery with its head office in the UK.

• We are seeking an ambitious professional with established credibility within the portable power industry.
• This is a direct selling role, so the successful candidate will be a natural salesperson who is goal oriented, and result driven, with the ability to understand the end user purchasing processes and how to mitigate procurement time lines.
• We are looking for someone to hit the ground running, knowing where to go and who to speak to, therefore knowledge of generator.
• Deliver against specific sales targets set for your region
• Engage with end user customers
• Maintaining accurate records utilising the CRM system (Sales Force)
• Maintain, review and update a regional business plan that will deliver the regional sales targets for 2023 and beyond

The Sales Account Manager must have the following:

• Experience selling from within the portable power/generator industry with a list of credible end user contacts already worked with for pipeline opportunities
• A proven career developing direct sales from within a generator distributor is preferred
• Experience selling into Telecoms and/or one of the following: construction, utilities, military & emergency agencies
• A degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Engineering
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience aligned to the above mentioned
• Experience within an OEM/Distributor
• Be prepared to work in a start up business in South Africa
• Be self managed as this is a fully remote role
