Job vacancy IT Security Officer

Our client in the financial sector is seeking to recruit an IT Security Officer to assist the IT Security team in implementing and managing IT Security Infrastructure within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Monitor firewalls and networks for any security issues.
Assist in the deployment of Security Solutions.
Investigate any cyber security incidents.
Perform configuration reviews on critical IT Infrastructure (Network equipment, firewall etc) to ensure compliance against current policies and standards and assist in remedying them.
Review of security logs across the organisation and to report any anomalies.

Profiles:

A Degree in related field of competence, preferably Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer / Network Engineering with at least 4 years' experience in Cybersecurity.
CCNA security certification, Microsoft Certifications and Firewall certifications would be an advantage.
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft technologies including Office 365, Exchange server, VMware infrastructure and Networking.
Strong collaboration with team and other Business Units.
Creative, Innovative and Solution-driven.
Self-motivated, autonomous and able to take initiatives.
Process driven and methodological.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
