AVOID AT ALL COST!

The quality of the sofas is average. Although the owner insisted that the sofas were made of real leather, I could not tell whether it was genuine or just low grade leather.

My main issue with this store is the customer service. The woman I dealt with was the wife of the owner. She was extremely racist, rude and did not have a concept of customer service. She was attending to many customers at the same time but was giving priority to white people over other customers regardless of whether they were first or last in the queue. I asked another question while waiting for her to get back to my initial query and she snapped ‘Don’t you see that I am already attending to other customers?!!’.

I then asked her to show me the different colours available for a particular sofa. I wanted to take a photo to show to my wife but she then said that it was prohibited to take any photos in case people made copies. I looked around and there was another white customer taking photos to which she said nothing. When I pointed this out to her, she said that she did not like my tone. I told her that she should talk to customers in a more diplomatic and professional way and she said that she would not do so if the customer is not right. I have never experienced such customer service in my life.

There are so many nice furniture stores in Mauritius where you get better quality products, value for money and customer service.

Agree - had a similar experience recently. Have just moved back to MU from Australia and was shocked by the treatment at Kuka Phoenix shop.
