Accounts & Admin Officer

Job Presentation

Our client in the shipping and logistics sector is currently seeking to recruit an Accounts & Admin Officer who will report to the Managing Director and the Accountant.

Responsibilities:

Processing of Bank transactions.
Processing of sales and Purchases transactions on the operating and accounting system.
Prepare, process and allocate payments for suppliers.
Process and allocate receipts from debtors.
Do reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
Filing of all documents.
Follow up Debtors & Creditors and liaise with respective parties for any accounting query.
Attends to customer requests (e.g., invoices, credit notes, returns).
Send statement of accounts and reminders to customers.
Assists auditors during audit and audit field work.
Other accounting tasks as assigned by the Managing Director and the Accountant.

What you need to know:

Profile:

HSC with good grades in Maths and Accounting.
Highly motivated and result driven.
Able to perform independently in a multitask and multinational environment.
Well organized / Attention to details.
Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
Team player.
Well presented with excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in French and English.
Ability to work under pressure and perform extra hours if and when necessary to meet set deadlines.
Fully computer literate.
Having working experience / exposure on an Accounting System (preferably Pastel).
Self disciplined, multi task.
