Job vacancy Waiter/Waitress

Service of food and beverage including the order-taking and delivery of any food and beverage items. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.

- Check station before, during and after shift for proper set up and cleanliness
- Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or Food and Beverage promotions for guest awareness
- In put the order into the Point of Sales (Micros) to inform Kitchen of the order
- Retrieve orders from Kitchen, confirm accuracy and deliver to guest with appropriate condiments.
- Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction
- Market and serve upon request any desert or coffee
- Ascertain guest satisfaction and present check. Process check as per Hotel procedures

- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, and communicate with guests to explain and record orders.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
- Ability to develop constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Service orientation and excellent organizational skills.
- Hands on experience with cash register and any ordering information system.
